When I mentioned I needed some mindless fluffy reads, I had no idea how much more emotionally exhausting 2020 could get. My heart breaks for everything that my home state of Minnesota and the entire country is going through. In the same breath, I think it sometimes has to get worse before it gets better.

Confessions of a Counterfeit Farm Girl by Susan McCorkindale

It had been so long that I forgot many parts of Confessions of a Counterfeit Farm Girl. So many witty remarks and observations of country living. I like it so much I almost thought about moving to the…, hahah just kidding.

Bringing Home the Birkin by Michael Tonello

Bringing Home the Birkin is a really fun book! It’s a bit dated now, but still fun to read. Who doesn’t love a good purse hunt?

One Fifth Avenue by Candace Bushnell

One Fifth Avenue by Candace Bushnell

One Fifth Avenue is a classic chick flick book. The writing is light and easy to read. The book itself is something like 400 pages long, so not something you can blow through easily in an afternoon. After about 300 pages though, you can’t put it down. The line “I wish I was married to Donald Trump and lived in Palm Beach” does date the book quite a bit though. 😛

Good news… the libraries in Cincinnati are slowly opening back up so I can get back to my 2020 book list!
