Everybody Always by Bob Goff wasn’t even on my 2018 book list, but somehow ended up in my library queue. With the country being so divided right now, we can all become “love in a world full of setbacks and difficult people.”
Everybody Always by Bob Goff: Amazon Description
My Review
What the Amazon description leaves out is that he relates many of his lessons back to those of Jesus. Not in a preachy way (the guy is a lawyer, not a preacher), but in a humble, mostly relatable way. I say mostly relatable because he does talk about washing the feet of a Ugandan witch doctors who perform child sacrifices. Not so relatable. But, in another chapter he talks about being patient with an incredibly slow car rental attendant. Who hasn’t felt impatient at a checkout line? It was a great reminder to not judge, but to love everybody always, like Jesus did. Easier said then done. Especially when you feel like telling the grocery bagger to move aside because you know you can do it better and faster. 😛
