Probably the most well-known piece of art in Florence is The David by Michelangelo, housed at the Accademia Gallery. Rightfully so, the marble sculpture stands at 17 feet tall! We spent a long time discussing his posture, he facial expressions, the marble block and the other objects in the sculpture. (If marble could talk, right?)
