2021 Flying Pig Half Marathon

We were back in-person for the 2021 Flying Pig Half Marathon! I was a little nervous, but mostly excited to race the Pig again. I’ve only done the full, so I knew what the first 6 miles entailed. Hint: lots of bridges and hills.

2019 Michigan Ragnar

The 2019 Michigan Ragnar started in Muskegon and finished in Traverse City on beautiful Lake Michigan. I knew it was going to include some running and lots of laughter, but nothing could have prepared me for the actual experience with this group of goof balls.

Cold Weather Running

Like cold weather biking, cold weather running requires some additional gear to keep you warm and dry. Here are a few of my favorites that are helping me get through Flying Pig Marathon training miles!

2018 Indianapolis Monumental Marathon

The 2018 Indianapolis Monumental Marathon was last weekend. After 18 weeks of training, including a few half marathons, and the very anxious week before, it’s all over. It’s a weird feeling- I feel so accomplished but also sort of sad that it’s over.
