Don’t judge a book by it’s cover, or in this case, the title; The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F—. Because if you can get past the title (and the occasional foul language throughout the book) I bet you’ll learn a thing or two.
The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F— Amazon Description
My Review
The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F— by Mark Manson, from my 2018 book list, has arguably an aggressively vulgar title, but it’s earned a 4.4/5 star rating on Amazon. I read this book on a recent trip to Minnesota and laughed out loud a few times on the plane. The intro to the chapter about choices (above) comparing two ways to run a marathon was so timely.
I won’t go as far as to say it changed my life, but it did make me reconsider a few things. It’s serious, but funny at the same time. It was an easy, quick read, but I’d give it 3 stars. It’s a little bro-ish and contradicting at times. Like when I read Start With Why, I had a few good takeaways, but nothing that will significantly alter my life.
