Currently Listening To: December 2018

Since I’m in-between marathon training, I’ve been walking Sophie more (see number 15). And for some reason I prefer to listen to books/podcasts when I walk and music when I run. So I’m sharing the podcast I’ve been listening to and a few audiobooks I’ve finished.

My 2018 Book List Recap

I read a ton of books in 2018! Some of them were on my 2018 book list, some of them not. Some great, some good, and some so bad I didn’t finish. I can say that 99% of the books I read were borrowed from the library.

BR: Calling Me Home by Julie Kibler

From my Cincinnati book list, Calling Me Home, is a book I requested from the library while I was waiting for others to come in. It is a predictable, but touching story about an unlikely friendship between two women and their journey to Cincinnati.

BR: Everybody Always by Bob Goff

Everybody Always by Bob Goff wasn’t even on my 2018 book list, but somehow ended up in my library queue. With the country being so divided right now, we can all become “love in a world full of setbacks and difficult people.”

BR: Memento Park by Mark Sarvas

Memento Park by Mark Sarvas is an interesting read with an ending I never saw coming! In essence, it’s about how a man uncovers secrets about his dad after a lost piece of art is discovered. Sophie didn’t find it as interesting as I did. 🙂

BR: The Cuban Affair by Nelson DeMille

With summer over and fall just around the corner, what better time to suggest a pool/beach read? Ha! But seriously, it took me that long to finish this book. Not because it wasn’t good and not because it was difficult, it’s because I’ve been so darn busy!

4 Recommended Audiobooks

I’m sharing four recommended audiobooks that I’ve recently listened to and enjoyed. Some are from my 2018 book list, but some are just ones that popped up in my recommended list. All were read listens and would recommend depending on your mood.
