Four good audiobooks, in no particular order…

The Last Mrs. Parrish

From my 2018 book list, The Last Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine is about greed and envy. The first several chapters are from Amber’s point of view and honestly, weren’t that thrilling. Then, the it switches over to Daphne and oh boy, do things get interesting!

The Lying Game

The Lying Game by Ruth Ware (author of The Woman in Cabin 10) is another thriller from my 2018 book list. I listened to this back in February, during all those training runs. I figured out what happened before the end, but it was still a good running distraction.

Girl, Wash Your Face

Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis is a more-or-less self-help book, with the tagline “Stop Believing the Lies About Who You Are so You Can Become Who You Were Meant to Be.” Read by Rachel herself, each chapter starts with a lie she used to tell herself. I skipped through most of the mother chapters, but related to all the others. At the end of each chapter she shares how she got over each lie. I liked this one so much I shared it with multiple friends. I loved that Rachel read it herself and put the emphasis exactly where she intended it. Good stuff.

What I Talk About When I Talk About Running

This memoir is about, surprise, running! I found myself nodding along while Murakami compared running to writing and all the obstacles one has to overcome. I’m not convinced a non-runner would get as much out of it, but I loved it!
