I had great ambition to read several of these books last month. I only made it through one of these, but did finish four audiobooks!
BR: Such a Fun Age, Untamed, Pachinko, and The Giver of Stars
I’ve tried to continue swim/bike/run training even though all my races have been cancelled. I also did the Tighter Together challenge, which was awesome! One thing that helps with runs is audiobooks. I recently made it through a few and one actual book.
BR: Confessions of a Counterfeit Farm Girl, Bringing Home the Birkin, and One Fifth Avenue
When I mentioned I needed some mindless fluffy reads, I had no idea how much more emotionally exhausting 2020 could get. My heart breaks for everything that my home state of Minnesota and the entire country is going through. In the same breath, I think it sometimes has to get worse before it gets better.
While Some People are Hoarding TP, I’m Hoarding Cookbooks
I sent a snapchat of all my recent cookbook purchases to a friend of mine and she made the TP joke. I laughed because it’s true! I got all these new cookbooks in the mail within a week of each other. I had some of them in my Amazon cart for awhile and finally just…
BR: The Brave Athlete, How to be Parisian Wherever You Are, and The Perfect Nanny Audiobook
You guys know that I love, love, love the library. I read a lot and I’d go broke if I purchased every book that I read. I get 90% of my books from the library, 5% as gifts, and I purchase the other 5%. Since the library is closed though, I’ve dug into books I’ve…
BR: The Yellow House, The Most Fun We Ever Had, Just Mercy, and Three Women
I like to pretend I’m as cool and funny as Bev with her imaginary book club.
BR: A Time to Kill, Gingerbread, Say Again, Yes!, and The Testaments
During February I read four books, well three books and one audiobook. I read my first and definatley not last John Grisham book, a very odd novel that I still don’t quite understand, a gripping story about two neighbors, and the intense sequel to The Handmaid’s Tale.
BR: Sometimes I Lie, Disappearing Earth, My Lovely Wife, I Owe You One, and Mrs. Everything
Instead of writing a post after each book, I thought I’d simply write a shorter recap at the end of each month. My long 2020 list puts me at about ~2 books/month and I’m already behind. Sophie is very disappointed.
My 2019 Book Recap
Looking at my 2019 book recap, I feel I did a pretty good job getting through my 2019 book list! Between reading books and listening to audiobooks I made through a lot!
2020 Book List
New year, same love for making lists. This year’s book list contains a few books leftover from last year’s list and several new ones. In no particular order…
