i like your colors

Remember how I originally ordered Sherwin-Williams Urbane Bronze for one of the basement colors but then chickened out? One of my fav blogs, YoungHouseLove, just painted their garage doors Urbane Bronze. I’m pretty sure they copied me. HA, just kidding, but it does look great on their garage doors!! I did end up using the paint to redo a dresser for the office. It really ties in well with the teddy bear wallpaper and blue trim.

I took the doors off, painted the snot out of it and put on new hardware. Of course the size was non-standard but I finally found some at MyKnobs. The dresser stores all sorts of office/crafty stuff in the drawers and the boxes hold photos. I put my crafty Starburst Mirror on top of it and how do you like my $50K+ MBA diploma in the $2 clearance Michael’s frame? We purchased the St. Lucia map on our honeymoon and Sophie promptly ate a chunk out it, thus the lack-luster (aka cheap arse) frame.

Another blog after my own heart, Decor and the Dog, recently painted a large space Sherwin-Williams Mindful Gray, the same we used in our basement. It’s so cool to see the same color in a different house! I still love the color in our basement and I’m glad we didn’t go with my original plan.
