Sorry for the gap in posts. Nolan and I went to California last week with his work. We stayed at the Villagio Inn & Spa in Yountville and attended the Indy race at Sonoma Raceway. All that was amazing but the craziest/scariest/most memorable part of the trip was the earthquake on Sunday at 3AM! It was a 6.0 and the biggest the bay area has suffered since 1989. Nolan immediately knew what it was and protected me- what a guy huh? 🙂 Everything in our room tipped over and drawers opened but nothing broke. Others in our group had tons of damage from broken tvs, glass from tables, wine glasses, bottles of wine, etc. According to The Washington Post the wine industry damages are going to surpass $1 billion.

But the racetrack wasn’t effected so the race went on as scheduled. And Scott Dixon won!

Since this post I’ve taken the curtains down, remove the vents and taped the floor in preparation to paint the trim.

    1. I know! I still can’t believe the odds that we would be that close when it hit. Other than that I was an amazing vacation! Looks like you guys just had a great one in Alaska too! Love reading your blog. 🙂
