Anytime I hear about a book on MPR or hear a recommendation I jot it down, because I have the memory of a goldfish. The number of notepads I go through at work is astonishing. Many times I go through them and find a forgotten report/email/presentation I’d promised. Below is my goldfish book list.

Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert

Notorious RBG by Irin Carmon and Shana Knizhnik

Modern Romance by Aziz Ansari

The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo

The Fran Lebowitz Reader by Fran Lebowitz

Wild by Cheryl Strayed

I’ve mentioned before I need to hit up the library more often, 5 of the 6 books listed above are available through the Ramsey County Library. Not only are library books free but, Shoreview is in the process of building a new library, which I was reminded of when I ran past the construction zone this weekend.

Look, they even included me biking to the library in their latest rendering. It’s only 3.5 miles from our house so there should be no excuse, right?

  1. Lol, gold fish memory, that’s pretty cute.
I liked Marie kondo’s book, but only followed through for half of the categories. Big Magic sounds intriguing. That’s going on my short list too. Thanks!
