Often I have little motivation to saddle up on the trainer in our basement, but having a good watch list can help. With the help of my friends, I put together a list of TV shows to watch on your trainer or while you’re on your couch, in your pajamas, eating ice cream.
I still do the occasional spin class, but on the weekends it’s way more convenient to work out at home. I’m pretty sure my new(er) bike computer is broken though. It’s telling me my average MPH is at a snail’s pace.
I’ve never shown pictures of this room on the blog. It’s what we call the “hot tub room”, because it used to have a hot tub in it! It’s the last remaining wallpapered room in the house. The floor is durable rubber squares, so it’s prefect for a workout room. We also use the room to store the bikes, weights, trophies/metals, golf clubs, and Nolan’s old bowling ball.
Having a background of wallpaper and golf clubs (which remind me of being outside and wish I was biking outside and not in my basement), makes it even more important to have a distracting show (or puppy).
Below is a list of TV shows that I’ve watched (on or off the trainer) or want to watch on the trainer (preferably on the trainer, not on my couch, in my pajamas, eating ice cream).
TV Shows to Watch on your Trainer
In no particular order…
Breaking Bad (AMC)
Frankie & Grace (Netflix)
Chelsea Show (Netflix)
Westworld (HBO)
Game of Thrones (HBO)
Big Little Lies (HBO)
Limitless (Netflix)
Billions (Showtime)
The Night Of (HBO)
There are a bunch of lists online too, like these training ideas and this list of bike-themed movies on Netflix.
Happy Spinning!
So are those the bikes you use outside too? I’ve only seen exercise bikes from the 1970’s.
