November was one busy month! Between the marathon weekend, reading a few books (Everybody Always and Memento Park) and Thanksgiving, we hardly had time to sit down. We did have enough time to put up our tree and some Christmas decorations and are currently planning our Europe trip.

Baking Bread

I baked some bread! It was one of the things I wanted to do after the marathon, but I don’t know why I waited so long. It was incredibly easy and SO tasty! Nolan told me I can no longer buy bread. The loaf above is this peasant bread with Everything But The Bagel seasoning from Trader Joes.

UC Bearcats

We went to our first UC Bearcats Basketball game at the newly renovated Fifth Third Arena. The stadium was pretty nice, the scoreboard, as you can see, was huge and clear. The cup holders were terrible though. They are right by your elbow and really shallow- I’m not a huge person and I felt like I had to squeeze my arms tight anytime I set my drink down in order to not knock it into the lap of the person sitting next to me.

Patio Furniture

We finally found some patio furniture! The boxes took up nearly half our garage and arrived the day we left for the Indianapolis Marathon. We put it together the day we got back and then it got really cold out so it’s currently just sitting under the covers. 🙁

Thanksgiving

Nolan’s dad came to Cincinnati for Thanksgiving and instead of cooking all the things, we went to Capital Grill. No turkey in sight! The following weekend Nolan smoked the above ribs on the REC TEC. He used this process, but his own rub. I loved them!

Other things I’ve done from my post-marathon list include number 2, 3, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13, 23 (see above), and 26- although it’s sort of a gimme since I already signed up for the training.
